Decision No. 339/2005/QD-TTg of Prime Minister of Vietnam on December 20, 2005 established Vietnam Computer Emergency Response Team (VNCERT) as the legitimate body directly under Vietnam Ministry of Posts and Telematics

Mission Statement

The mission of VNCERT is to assist Vietnam organizations and internet users in implementing proactive measures to reduce the risks of computer security incidents and to assist them in responding to such incidents when they occur. VNCERT also handles incidents that originate in Vietnam networks and are reported by any Vietnam or foreign persons or institutions

Constituency

VNCERT constituency is all hosts in .vn domain as well as all adresses assigned to VNNIC and other Vietnam internet providers.

International cooperation

We realize that to solve all the matters related to computer crime effectively, there must be a connective cooperation among CERTs around the world.

Ministry of Posts and Telematics of Vietnam, therefore, supports the APCERT initiative and promise to support VNCERT to take part in as well as actively contribute in the activities of the APCERT and the APT.

VNCERT will full participate in share data, research, response strategies, and early warning notifications with all others CERTs arround the world.
